B.Sc Dialysis Therapy is a 3-year undergraduate degree in paramedical sciences. This course is designed to train and produce graduates who are capable of understanding and assisting specialists in the different treatment processes.
During this course, students learn about the different medical concepts of the kidney, the principles of dialysis, dialysis systems and machines, blood chemistries, etc. The students are trained to use various machines for dialysis to help in the treatment of patients during this course.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Sc Dialysis Therapy
1. 10+2 Science stream passed (with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects) from a recognized board. Minimum aggregate marks required (if criteria exists) is generally around 45-55% marks.
2. The candidate should have passed H.S.C / (+2) or equivalent qualification with Biology/Botany and Zoology with minimum marks.
3. Some universities offer admissions on the basis of the marks obtained in an entrance test, therefore, applicants are required to sit for the specified exam, conducted by the university of their choice.
Admission Process
1. Most institutes follow the merit-based admission process. Marks scored by students in board examinations and/or relevant entrance tests (state-wise or institute-wise) are taken into account. Seats are allotted to deserving candidates on the basis of merit marks.
2. Nearly all institutions provide admission through an entrance exam.
3. Candidates must have the exam rank. Some institutions take their own admission entrance whereas others give admission through a national-level examination.
4. Some colleges require a minimum of 50% aggregate in the qualifying examination.
5. Candidates who qualify for the test are called for an interview before the final seat allotment.

Completing relevant M.Sc. courses will help one take on a teaching job (lecturer or instructor) at institutes offering dialysis technology education or patient education programs.
